SEE VIDEO OF EIGHT WOOD SANTA FE BEING MADE

It is hard to believe that the ONE OF A KIND SHOW has come and gone. It was the first weekend in December on the 8th floor of the Merchandis Mart in Chicago. My bowls were on the cover of the program guide. It was quite a surprise. I had no idea. The show was a huge success and I will do it again next year. Sold a lot of bowls and made some new friends. My bowls are now for sale at the Verve on Third gallery in Geneva Illinois.

Although I sold almost all the bowls I had during the holidays, I have been busy and the gallery is full of new bowls.

My next show is the Dogwood Festival in Atlanta.  It begins on Thursday, April 3rd and closes Sunday, April 6th.  Because of the drought in the area, the Festival has been moved to the parking lot of Lennox Square Shopping Center.  It will be on the portion of the lot that faces Peachtree Road.  There is plenty of parking and it should be a hugh success at this location.  I will be in Booth Number 97.  Hope I see a lot of my old friends and relatives.  I have a lot of relatives in Atlanta.

I recently received my new 2416 Oneway lathe.  This allows me to make larger bowls and the Platters which I will show for the first time at the Dogwood Festival in Atlanta.  The Platter you see in the second photo on the left is called Starburst and it is over 20" in diameter.  Visit the new Platter Galary to see the complete selection.

The Eight Wood Santa Fe is available in four sizes, nut, candy, fruit, and salad bowl. The bowls featured in "Great Design Finds" is the Candy Bowl.

One of my most popular designs is the Eclipse series. I have combined the award winning Triple Eclipse with the most popular Eight Wood. The result is the Eight Wood Triple Eclipse which is shown on the left in photo two. The Single Eclipse is made in the Candy Bowl size, and the third photo shows three recent examples.

Dots and Dashes and Three Row checks are two more popular designs I have remade this month in four different combinations with Holly, Redheart, Yellowheart, purpleheart, and wenge (pronounced when-gay).

Last Fall, I purchased several woods I had never used before. One of them is called Morado. It is also known as Bolivian Rose Wood. Photos seven, eight, and nine are all primarily Morado.
